How to import transparent JPGs
Hello, I have a client who has sent me transparent JPGs of his company logo. It's supposed to be the logo only with no background. But when I import it into Photo Studio 2 it makes a background. It is white. I've tried keying out the white using Blue Box but the logo is not quite clean enough between the letters to get a good result. Does photo transfer work better? How do I import the logo with no background information? I want to put the logo over various backgrounds but so far I can't do it without all the white background and the black or white borders Photo Studio 2 adds to it. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Re: How to import transparent JPGs
Chris,
I have a step by step tutorial on using BlueBox and BlueBoxWorld to remove the color white from a logo background here: http://cassieexpert.live.subhub.com/articles/20090724_1
But if the client says the background is supposed to be transparent - they should have given you a .PNG file - a JPEG won't hold transparency while a PNG (Portable Network Graphics) file will. If it is a PNG file, you can import it into Bogart OS using the Custom Image Pool and place/position it using the Pattern 2 function in the Special Menu. Tutorial here: http://cassieexpert.live.subhub.com/articles/20110819

Re: How to import transparent JPGs
Thanks Chet. I did not need the tutorial and what you suggested I was going to try out once I received the .PNGs from my client, per a previous post from you on this forum that I found after doing a search. I got the logos and they imported just fine. One of these days I will add myself to your client list. Seems like a very helpful tool. Thank you for the help.
