Update; I purchased an active HDMI to S-Video/Composite converter with HDMI pass thru. (also equipped with RCA audio outs) This permits me to view both HD monitor and S video reference monitor at the same time in the studio. I would also be able to use an S-video monitor when using the newer Karat systems without an S-video out connector while on location. The S-video reference monitor looks very sharp compared to the HD monitor when editing SD video. (HD monitor not pro model)

Here is the link to the website with all the details. The image drawing looks very crude compared to the actual product. It is a quality made item with metal case and comes with an assortment of AC adaptors for about any power supply.
