720p60 issue

I'm shooting a project with the GoPro Hero 3 (black edition). I've already shot a fair amount at the 720 p60 setting (because this is a format compatible with Blu-ray discs). I do not yet own a Macrosystem editor but am seriously looking at the Topaz.
However, I was told that the Bogart OS will automatically convert my p60 to p30 in order to be able to edit.
What will that look like?
And then if I produce a BR disc, will yet another conversion back to p60, I presume, start to adversely affect image quality? Every time there's a conversion, quality is going to take a hit, right?

I use the GoPro2. I also use 1920x1080 for higher resolution instead of 720p and have no issues making a Blu-ray or importation. Yes. It will be 30p. Looks great in 30p for You Tube as well. See the above link which was the last 720p I used as a setting.

I did check out the youtube link. I can see what people describe as "jello-cam" when you go over bumps. (The video sort of "lags" behind.) That's the reason I was shooting p60, as it supposedly is the best setting for "sports" and action where there's rapid movement.
I'm also shooting at the "protunes" setting, which is the fast 35Mbps data rate the Hero 3 (black edition) can do. It allows you to tweak the video afterwards, adjusting for contrast and saturation.
According to wiki, Blu-ray specs allow for following frame rates and resolutions:
1080 p60
1080 30i (and interlace isn't an option on the Hero camera, by the way)
1080 p24
720 p60
720 p24

That's pretty much my options.
So I'm confused given that Bogart converts everything to p30 (or interlace, which again, isn't an option for me).
What does p60 look like when converted to p30? And when making a Blu-ray disc from the edited p30 footage, given that p30 isn't even a Blu-ray spec, what IS it converted to????

The CMOS issue that looks like "jello" is present in the 60P. It is a chip issue not related to the codec. You can shoot 35Mbps w/o issue. I shot up to 50Mps with the Canon XF series. I believe BOGART can read up to 60Mps.

Check the specs: http://gopro.com/cameras/hd-hero3-black-edition#specs I see 30P which works well in ARABESK 6-our Blu-ray and DVD software.

To be honest, I would not recommend the BLACK EDITION to others as you are paying for 4K and it has a very low frame rate.

4K is the future but not at the low frame rate plus you need 4K HDTV plus software and a heavy-duty fast processor and video card with lots of HDD space.

I would check out the SILVER and WHITE GoPro 3 for a lighter camera.

Truthfully, save a bundle and get the GoPro2 as it is the same codec as the Silver and White albeit the camera is slightly bigger. You will save money.


.Locate a dealer or a friend who has BOGART installed:
To see what 30P looks like, simply take an interlaced scene in your scene bin. Now, go to SPECIAL and locate the MOVIE MODE, which is 30P NTSC. Apply same. You will like it and it holds up well on my Blu-ray discs and looks even better on VIMEO and YOU TUBE.
