Lou....I think you have it backwards, when I got my Pro the highlighted software were the ones I had but were not operational yet. Atleast that's what it was when I got my unit. There were 3 of them.

Talked to a nice fellow Bruce from Bolder. He asked me to do a full install of the software. The unit locked after 10 min. He called back and he is having me send the unit back. The Bogart software disk is still in the unit and it wont eject. I tried to hold the eject button on startup but nothing.

Good tip...Thanks!!!LouBruno wrote:To get rid of the COUNTRY PROMPT: Choose GREAT BRITIAN>CLICK OUT OF THAT PAGE AND RE-ENTER and add OTHER COUNTRY.
You will no longer have a prompt asking for the COUNTRY.

Re: 4000 problems
Has anybody noticed downloading music from a CD on the 4KPro a tad slower than the Solitaire? ...or Editing to the Beat (Split) lagging a split second beat behind? (very negligible though).
I use edit to the beat feature a lot....it is the greatest and the fastest way to edit dance videos, especially the drum rolls.

Re: 4000 problems
Pull all your wires out of the unit first then let it sit fo an hour. You may recover your disc. I would then try to burn another disc as an ISO file.

Re: 4000 problems
I have also noticed the music downloading is slower than on the Solitaire as noted by Erictom. One thing in the music that has impoved is the MP3 decoding, on my Solitaire MP3 music is imported with small annoying random clicks with the 4KPro MP3 tunes are much cleaner.
While on music I am susprised that nobody has mentioned it, there is one sure way to get the 4KPro crash is to try and use the record button in the music mixer by put in a commentary using a microphone. For pure DV work the Solitaire is currently the best machine.
