Hey Jim,
Thanks for the clarification! I purchased my first Cassie in 1999, and it had a scene button. I jusy assumed that any MS NLE that came out after that had it as well. I couldn't imagine editing without it.

I had the same problem that Paul is having and a lot of what I said was what I was told by Chet in regards to the black box effect.
Using the rectangle only on the top portion of the screen and rendered, does put a box around the entire video. It does solve my problem of covering up the edges when showing them online. Like I said before, I think it is a giltch. In fact, I had to use the rectangle effect to cover the edges on my last video I posted under samples.

I am excited to try the large seeing to see what that does for my online videos!!

Yipes, what a team effort ! Now I know what the freakin' 'Scene' button (in fx and Title) is for. Do you have any idea how this could have made life easier for me on previous projects? Yeah, you do. I bet there's a number of other features I don't understand that would make me this happy too (like clipboard and scene scrub did.) I'm a novice, and don't have good 'manual' comprehension, but have still created some nice video.
By the way, I do have the ProPack, and I just successfully made a scene from a project. The project, a comedy short is 20 minutes long and did not take too long. I've had one hour-two hour projects in the past. The slow processor is my biggest handicap, but second is my lack of knowledge. I'm getting there, and hope to upgrade someday. My 'workhorse' and I have created some neat stuff - wedding video, full-length features, video albums, comedy-drama shorts - all for fun.
So thanx to all, and expect more questions.
