S-4000 Pro not keeping screen settings
My S-4000 pro is in dual monitor mode and keeps losing it's screen settings for screen 1, the editing screen. It's normally set to VGA 1680 X 1050 60Hz (16:10). Sometimes when I turn it on it has reverted back to VGA 800 X 600 (4:3) and I go in and change it and everything is fine. What's going on there? I just had the problem again and instead of fixing the setting I just turned it off and back on again and it had corrected itself. So I don't get what is going on. It had never done this before. I recently got a VGA/mouse/keyboard spltter. There is a name for it but I can't remember, but basically it allows me to use both my S-4000 Pro and my Karat with one keyboard, mouse, and screen. Could that be the problem? The Karat seems to be fine with it but the S4k pro won't stay consistent. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

'Maybe' the small BIOS battery is failing and so it doesn't remember those settings - check to see what time and date the S4000 thinks it is on and if it's not correct (give or take a few days) then that might need changing but . . .
First thing I'd do is remove that and see if the problem continues ?I recently got a VGA/mouse/keyboard spltter.

Checked that. Date was correct but time off by 10 min. Will keep an eye on it. Thanks.

10 minutes or a few days is fine so that suggest the bios battery is fine.
Have you tried it without the splitter box ?

I haven't tried that yet. It's just a small nuisance. If it gets worse I'll try that. Thanks.
