Avio error code

Post by TRPLS »

I have an old Casablanca Avio that I purchased in 2002. In 2005 I sent it in to a place (Ody Video) that added an internal DVD burner and switched my hard drive so it was also outside my machine and I can switch them out fairly regularily. It has been a great set up for me. So about a month ago my disc burner refused to recognize that I was trying to burn a project. Just gave me the dreaded red slash circle when I would click on the write to DVD. It also would not load up a disc I had burned from it previously. I replaced the DVD burner but before I could even try it out the hard drive now appears to not be recognized either. After I start up my machine I get the white Casablanca page with the system card thing and the error code 524288. I hoped it was just a coincidence that both my DVD burner and hard drive died at the same time so I replaced the hard drive and have no changes. Does anyone know what this could be? I did check all connections many times.

Have you tried a full destructive install of the operating system and all add on software using the SmartMedia card?
