DVD-Arabesk 4.1d Update (for Bogart SE and Smart Edit)

On the MS Germany site, with regard to this update, it reads:

-16:9 films with moving a chapter menu played main film incorrectly in 4:3. This is fixed.

Could someone tell me exactly what this fix is, and if it is currently available in the U.S.? I have 4.0d.

What follows is the list of the fixes brought on with the 4.1D update of DVD Arabesk 4.
This update is released in PAL but remains in NTSC testing. I expect we will see this release in the coming weeks.

The item you asked about refers to a DVD which has a motion background in the Chapter Menu. This apparently caused issues for some playback situations. It has been remedied in this new update.

DVD-Arabesk 4.1d - the following changes and fixes have been made:
-16:9 films with moving chapter menu played main film incorrectly in 4:3. This is fixed.
-In case "Play all" (preview play) is not possible, a screen warning appears.
-In Disk Transfer, the selection of HD scenes for exporting is now locked with a screen message.
-Further checks done during film and menu burning.
-Preview not fully shown in NTSC version now fixed.
-Message about loaded archive with scene references appearing during render can now be aborted.
-DVDs burned are now also compatible with Mac OS X 10.5

Thanks, Chet. Looks like a good update. I was hoping for a fix to the problem where the software does not enter a FLAG that automatically communicates to the DVD player to produce a letterboxed picture for 4:3 TV. I think that I read that there's a new software in development that will be taking the place of Arabesk in the future. Any idea of a projected release date?

You're welcome Jim -- there are updates/revisions of the DVD Arabesk software coming out (as you now)... I do not believe this forthcoming update addresses the wide-screen flag issue. I would enjoy that one too!

The other DVD software software that has been discussed is a DVD authoring software that is specific to Blu-ray authoring and burning. Right now in the S-4000/PRO series you can burn an High-Definition project to Blu-ray but with a very modest menu. This new software will enable more creative menu creation of a Blu-ray title. We will, of course, be delighted to share news of these products as it becomes available to us!

I created a 30sec. motion menu, before the dvd disc begins to play, i would have expected the motion to play in a looping mode. The motion menu ONLY PLAYS for 5secs. Is something note done correctly?.
The dvd was burnt on the KRON Plus with Arabesk 4.1d
