What Avio units are not compatible with VGA option

Post by mrbvideoproductions »

Hi there. I use to have a Avio DV with Smart Edit 4.1d, I remember that it wasn't compitable with VGA Option because the serial number began with 211, I recently sold that Avio DV and got a much better Avio DV off of ebay, the one with the silver/black casing. The new Avio DV that I have the serial number is 0236450-6. So is this Avio DV compatible with the VGA option?

Ron,
It was the older AVIO units with a serial number below 219000- could not be used with a VGA Monitor.
This capacity VGA/Dual-monitor was not developed/released until after those AVIO models had been produced.

Hope that helps!

Chet

Ron: You shouldn't need a code to use the VGA option. As Long as your SN. (236450) is higher than the 219000 all you really need to do is hook up your VGA Monitor to the jack on your Avio, power your unit up and with both your TV monitor and VGA monitor on, go into system settings, select Video and then select one of the vga options. Your unit will shut down and restart, and you willl see a dialog box asking you if you really want to do this. Select yes within 15 or 20 seconds and you should be good to go.
