I've removed my original ram and installed a 256MB RAM to my Kron but...
System Settings > Click on Version Box > System Information >
RAM = 64 MByte ?? Why doesn't this change!
Hard Drive = 465.8 GByte
System Size = 4.9 GByte
Anyone know if it's using my full 256MB or not?

Re: Added RAM
Wow, that is a long way back and I would say is your issue.
That is too far back for me to remember, but I am pretty sure we did not get ram upgrades until SE2 so the operating software was not written to recognize more than 64.
You will have to upgrade to a more modern OS for the additional ram to be useable.
The only real advantage of bumping the ram up is for compatibility with some of the optional software which require more modern OS versions than SE1 also.

My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.

Re: Added RAM
I believe that is your issue with the other thread problem also.
SE1 was set to recognize 80GB tops which is what your stats show your unit is recognizing.
In order to be able to recognize/use the entire 500GB would also require one of the more recent operating systems.
