Chapters

Post by dihesford »

I have just learnt to use a flash drive instead of writing finished projects to a DVD.
Now I want to split a project into 2 chapters. I used to use Arabesque but am now using Finish on my Cassie. Hope that makes sense.
Do I still have the facility to make chapters or is there something else I should know about splitting a long project?

Any help for this amateur gratefully received.

Only Bogart v11 for Windows can write chapter marks in MP4 and MKV files when exporting. Those chapters can be set directly within the Bogart storyboard. I am afraid
  • the outdated Bogart 5 can't set chapter marks in the Storyboard and
  • the outdated Casablanca-3 can't write chapter marks to exported files.
But you can buy the smallest Bogart 11 for your Windows PC (B4W v11 Bronze - £49) - import the movie from the S-4000 - split+set chapters and export your movie as MP4 with chapter-marks. Software-player like VLC and MediaPlayerClassic Home-Cinema will support those :P , other Media Players need to be tested. :?

Feel free to download the Bogart Windows demo version and try it :!: (Demo will have the "Gold" Edition active. But you can hide "Gold" and "Silver" to test the "Bronze" Edition :P )
