I had a Power outage shut down during a Restore session...
Now I think I've lost everything....When I turn the machine on
I get this message....Backup Found
"Attention, this hard-drive is an incomplete
backup of hard-drive 'drive 1' dated <1970-01-
01, 12:00 am> It's not possible to use it. You have to
reinstall the system software. Old projects will be lost.
This message is in the middle of the screen over the normal
Video, Settings, Audio, etc screen. If I click OK it shuts down
if I right click it shuts down. I can't click on anything else but OK.
I do have my smart edit 6.1 on disc....and an all software disc...
I've tried everything I know how to do.....
HELP! PLEASE....there's editing to do
Thanks in advance.....

Oh, either I read your SOS incompletely on the List or it's written better here.
Just do a full, destructive install of your operating system and activate the Solitaire-Backup drive software and then just do another Restore.

My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.

Re: HELP! Solitaire CRASH!!!
My power just came back on at the house...
The problem is...No matter what I do...
I only get one choice on screen....
anything I click on...which is one choice...
turns the power off.
I've put the OS 6.1 in the drive...click OK...
Power goes off...
Am I missing something???

Re: HELP! Solitaire CRASH!!!
Scott,
I have covered this before, but to bring you up to speed.
All versions of the Avio, Kron and Prestige require a Product OS CD.
All versions of the Claro, Gymnos and Renommee and the Solitaire Plus require a Boot OS CD.
Using a Boot CD on a system that requires the Product CD can damage that unit.
Using a Product CD on a system that requires the Product CD can damage that unit.
So you can see it is very important to use the right type of OS CD in all these units.
You will notice there is one machine missing from all those listed.
It is the Solitaire. (not Plus, just plain Solitaire)
The Solitaire is unique, it can use either/both the Product CD and/or the Boot CD.
The one you have obviously is a Product CD from your answer.
So you need a Boot CD.
If you have a PC burner you can download it for free from either MSUS or Carroll's site.
Carroll's site is faster (sorry MSUS ).
http://www.clamcamvideo.com/s_downloads.html
Scroll down to Smart Edit 6.2c (latest version of your OS) Bootable CD (yes, I know the Solitaire is not listed) and download it.
You need to burn it as an ISO file.
You can download a nice free software to do this here: http://www.deepburner.com/?r=download
You want Deepburner Free 1.9.
Start Deepburner after you have downloaded the Bootable Smart Edit 6.2c file, choose ISO file, choose the 6.2c file and burn.
Turn on your Solitaire so you can open the DVD burner tray, insert the CD, close the tray and turn your Solitaire back off.
Then power it back on, follow the on screen instructions (English, drive, etc).
Once you have the OS and Solitaire Backup software installed you can then use the Restore function to get back to business.
