I've been using Casablanca for 7 years but never had this happen. Hope someone can help.
I installed SM8 on my Solitare doing a non destructive install. Loaded a project-no problem.
I imported audio from a project I keep music in, seemed ok. But when I use the music in the
audio section, it is not normal volume and not as clear as it should be.
I downloaded directly from a cd and the same sesults. Has anyone else had this problem
or know of a solution? I called Colorado, but no answer so far.
Thanks, Gary, Anchor Video Productions, Tampa, Florida

Re: Audio problem with smart edit 8
When you say not as clear as it should be, is this happening on all the audio or just music samples that you add to the mix tracks? Are you experiencing audio static when listening to music that sounds fine on your CD's.
This is not new if this is the problem. I have had static in my audio since the original Smart Edit. I think this problem would be solved if 24 bit audio rendering and recording was implemented.
Just my 2 cents
Please be more specific of what you are experiencing?

Re: Audio problem with smart edit 8
The audio problem is not static, it is very low volume.
It would seem it has lowered the volume in the audio window to about -15.
If I raise audio level to say +10 to overcome the low volume it doesn't sound good.
All audio on hard drive or cd import has same problem. Weird!
Any suggestions?

You can set up the analog audio output level in the system settings at "additional settings"...
Turn it up to full volume.
