Yes, Bogart has steadily advanced to where it up to Bogart 11.6 today, with Bogart 12 in the testing phase. You can look at the Bogart operating system manuals plus manuals for add-on software here: https://www.macromotion.info/handbuecher/#EN Software is available for Linux machines, like your S-4000, and also for Windows computers. The Windows computers being much newer, are of course much faster. Macrosystem, as well as some dealers, now builds Windows computers for video editing. You can use your own computer, providing it matches the recommended specs. Bogart can also be run on a Mac using a windows emulator. You can download a free demonstration version of Bogart for Windows - take a look at the Macrosystem website that I've mentioned below.
You can use two monitors for editing - look at the Bogart 5 manual for some info on using a computer monitor for the program interface and a TV for the video. This would be found in the System Settings section of the manual.
Remember that you have an editor that was introduced in 2007 and discontinued years ago. You can update the software, but there are some components in the hardware that are hard to find because they are no longer being manufactured. As I mentioned before, the software has been ported to Windows so you might want to take a look at the Macrosystem website to get an idea of the advances: http://www.macrosystem.us/
There is an active user group on Facebook that you may also want to take a look at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/67818961997/

Re: Upgrade from Bogart SE Basic (Vers 5)
Is there a reason mine says "Basic" ? The screen shots I've seen don't say ""Basic" and have the two screen option. I have looked and don't seem to have the two screen option. Im wondering if there's a way to upgrade from "Basic" to get that option.

I did some searching and found that Bogart 5 was available in two versions; Silver, and Gold. I have edited this post and added another post below.

Re: Upgrade from Bogart SE Basic (Vers 5)
I did an internet search and just found these pages that explains what is necessary to unlock features of Bogart 5. Here are the links:
https://www.casablancaexpert.com/articl ... allbogart5
http://cassieexpert.live.subhub.com/articles/20121121
If you have any documentation and paperwork, look for a license code.
I would suggest contacting a dealer listed on the Macrosystem website for further assistance and information. Visit http://www.macrosystem.us/ Look at the left column on the home page under Video Expert Resellers.
