Hi Paul

I would do wat Tim & lou are saying I did an upgrade a month ago to 2.0 and had some issues with Arabesk, it didn't want to burn properly and some other glitches aswell. I put al my music in the machine and spend alot of time naming and archiving it then to realize that I had to do a full destuctive install anyway. I know it is inconvinient now but wait what a pain it is if you have to do it again. It does take time to get your head around the new mMedia Manager but as everything with Macrosystems they don't make it harder than need to.

Good luck

Thanks Jeanton. Maybe I should beta test my theory for us in NTSC land.

Speaking from 10 years experience as a Cassie Dealer, I would suggest you do a complete install. I'm doing mine tomorrow and will let you know how it goes.

thanks,

One big difference between the SmartEdit and Bogart machines is that ALL license codes must be re-entered following a FULL installation. Numbers are not stored. Even if there is no additional software, Bogart and all its components add up to nine individual license codes. It is important therefore to keep the original codes supplied with the machine plus any that you purchase or have transferred from trade-ins.
NB with Bogart 2 you need to delve into Media Manager to licence Premium Pack.

Having said that, we have (so far) not encountered problems requiring full installation. It might be that Linux/Bogart will not suffer from previous problems  We are recommending an update but suggesting a full install if and when convenient, but to be sure and use Arabesk 4.1e.

Paul,

The free update for Arabesk 4 (V41.e) is found in the Add-on Software file here:
ftp://97.74.114.15/pub/All_081120_noSE.iso

This update is of little or no value to Smart Edit customers but highly encouraged for Bogart/S-4000 customers.

Regards,
Chet
