As mentioned, I had the same issue with the HDV export out to my Sony cams as well as I was missing some functionality to some of my pattern software and the full, destructive path gave me all that back.
I already was pretty good with the numeric keypad and if practice makes perfect I am headed there.

My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.

Re: YouTube Options
I made life a little easier when it comes to a full install. A full install requires that all ACTIVATION CODES have to be manually placed back to the unit again-every time there is a FULL INSTALL.
.I opened up the INSTALL PRODUCT bin and typed a WORD DOC with every listed software which is in ALPHABETICAL order unlike the enclosed code sheet. EXCEL works as well-very neat. ARCHIVE to your PC.
.Future add-on softwares can then be placed on the SAVED spreadsheet or WORD DOC as the need arises.
.THEN-I divided each code into a sequence of 4 numbers rather than the usual 12 digit run-on blurry-eyed number sequence. I placed the code next to the software.
.I use the NUMERICAL PAD located on the right side of the keyboard.
.Practice Practice Practice...eventually you actually remember your codes w/o the sheet. Only kidding here.

Well Lou,
that's the way I do it for years.
Thought you would give us a method of a desructive install without typing activation codes again.

Re: YouTube Options
Okay, I did a full destructive install, and then activated the media manager premium pack and bogart 2.0 (or 1.3 whatever they shared with us).
Then I restored the HDV project I'm using as a test to the media manager archives. It plays and looks great in media manager.
Then I tried the Klein YouTube setting and exported it to usb. The connectivity issues are gone, but I still get no audio. Image is clean and fine, but no sound.
I'm going to try one of the other settings like for PC. But I'm losing faith in the whole idea of having the media manager compress it. Still, the compression process seemed faster than before. I have not activated all my other product as of yet, by the way. Tackling just the compression issues first.

Re: YouTube Options
Okay, here's an interesting development. Since the reinstall, I've been able to play from usb. So, when I compressed my latest attempt, I checked it by playing from usb in media manager. It worked and there was sound. But on my Mac in Quicktime, nothing.
I plugged the card into a PC and it wouldn't even play in Media Player, which was odd because it was the PC compression setting.
I'm going to try importing the file into imovie HD and or Final Cut next just for kicks.

Re: YouTube Options
This is so very frustrating. I imported the AVI into Imovie HD, which took 15 minutes. And there was still no sound.
Now when I play it on Media Manager, there is sound. I'm completely stumped.
Anyone have any ideas?

Re: YouTube Options
If I am correct? Are you exporting from a HDV project to the MM?
If so, I would like you to try TWO settings. One with MPEG 2 checked-off, the other with MPEG 2 checked in the affirmative.
NOW.....As you know, there are different quality modes. Try Very Good with both settings as stated above. Then Good and finally Normal.
NOW......In your MM FILM ARCHIVE-locate your SB export and then change/type the name STORYBOARD (aA icon) to reflect which changes you made.
EXAMPLE: Such as No-MEG2, MPEG2,HQMPEG2,HQNON-MPEG2, MPEG2Good etc. etc.
The one that works will be your universal setting.
ALSO, when exporting to your USB-DO NOT click CREATE DVD, when you first observe your clip as above in the FILM ARCHIVE, CLICK ON PLAYLIST instead. This is a workaround
NOW-set up your EXPORT compression as before and proceed to the CREATE button but wait a few for the prompt to be displayed. You will know it will appear when the cursor is not visible. Don't get nervous, this means that the export is ready to work. Let it sit for a short while.

Re: YouTube Options
Sorry to read about your frustration Jonathan... a couple of quick comments:
First, remember that this pre-release version of the Media Manager remains that in NTSC -- we have not yet had the opportunity to fully test all the many new capabilities that the Media Manager components provide our customers on their S-4000/PRO units. We continue to work on these and will provide customer feedback as appropriate. The question could then be asked, why did you release it at all then? We did so as we felt our customers would benefit from the enhancements, new benefits and increased stability of Bogart SE V2, and this also allowed us to put the Twixtor software into the capabilities of the S-4000 products. I believe/d that some customers could take advantage of the new options in the Media Manager and even if they did/do encounter some irregularity, it does not affect their primary program -- your edited storyboard in the Bogart SE side remains untouched.
Onto your specific scenario -- I used the YouTube export option and successfully exported a short storyboard onto a USB drive, was able to play that back on my Liberty PC ( running Windows XP in the Windows Media Player) and was also able to upload that short video onto YouTube - with audio. I am not sure why you are experiencing that glitch -- did you also try to export via one of the other PC settings like AVI or one of the DivX settings?
Regards,
Chet
