I created a 30 second motion menu. after the rendering has completed, I ADDED THE 30sec. then create.I then did a play back test, the motion menu played for 3sec.
Can anyone tell me why this happened.

Check your stamp length. You need motion in both the stamp and the background. However, there is a workaround.

Hello Prem,
As Lou mentioned, to have motion stamps (icons) for your DVD menu you must also have/select a Motion background of the same length. You can however choose to use a still background if you really want to - here's how:
1. In your scene bin, build your still background that will become your DVD menu background - make this still scene a maximum of 59-seconds.
2. when you go to edit your main DVD menu, select that scene as your background. The DVD software pulls in a scene from your scene bin, which satisfied it's need for a motion scene - but your eyes see a still scene so you meet your needs/desires.
The above steps allow you to have a still background with motion stamps (scene sequence in Arabesk 4 menu lingo).
