can u do this?

Post by videojim »

I am scared to find out the hard way, so I'll ask first. Is it possible to load a second set of pics to a scene bin after a set has been loaded, or is the second load going to overwrite the first? I have some video in, and want to add some video zooms of stills as inserts.

I'm not really sure what you're asking. If you want to load the same stills twice, it has been my experience that my AVIO renames the second loaded pics with no overwrite.

You can copy the pics in PS2 and manipulate then--animations and so forth. I usually copy pic when I crop because once you crop the pic, I've not figured out how to uncrop it.

I use photoshop in my Mac to edit the pic and resize it and then put it on SD card and put it on my AVIO. I've done this more than 500 times and it is never really exactly the same result. I've not perfected the sizing and so forth.

Hope that helps.

If I understand you correctly you are asking if, using PS2 or Photo Transfer, can more photos can be transferred to the scene bin, without overwriting photos previously imported into that scene bin.

The answer is yes, you can import as many as you like, they will just be added in the scene bin like any other additional scenes, etc. It is no different than importing photos or scenes from another project using clip board, they are never over written.

As Jonathan says, even if you import the same photos again, they are added to the scene bin with the name and a suffix.

Must've said too much about the content I am wanting to add. Can additional video content be added to a scene bin that already has some in it?

OK I understand, I read pics as photos.

Yes, you can load video scenes at any time, they will just be added to the scene bin. Any new input will be placed after the scene you have highlighted (active) in the scene bin.

One of the many good points about the Cassie system is, when working in the scene bin it is rare for anything to be overwritten. Adding effects to a scene in the scene bin will keep your original and create a new scene for the effect. Even adding the same video scenes will not overwrite the original, the later input will be added with a different name.

Sure can, go to the project you want to add the video to and open it then go to the record screen and record away. That video will just be another scene in the scene bin.

Hi Paul
Yes it was past the bed time for most over here, but like Jim, I tend to be a bit of a night owl. I tend to work to a mid Atlantic time zone.
