Silence Audio Technique

Post by JBrooks »

I know this is very basic but it has been a long time since I have used the "Silence" technique to lower an audio track because of the abrupt audio fade issue. If someone could refresh my memory that would be great.

Others may chime in, but this is what I do:

First, apply the main volume fade for the track in question.
Then, Insert at least 3 seconds of silence ranged so that it ends with the audio track in question.
Next, fade in the silence for the same length as the audio clip.
Finally, use the correction button to select the track you want faded and mute it.

Good luck!
