A friend of mine who owns TWIXTOR came up with an excellent idea. I can't take credit for this one but the idea is excellent since TWIXTOR is the CLEANEST slow motion I have ever observed.
My friend is going to take a 30 second clip (to be trimmed down) of his fireplace logs burning. Then using TWIXTOR slow-down the roaring flames to almost a standstill. He then is adding his own Holiday Title atop the flames. The reason for the long clip above is to catch the flames in the right position with burning embers escaping upwards. The clip will be trimmed-down drastically.
Now...my own suggestion was to use the COLOR PACK FILTER software in some shape of form plus even a slight out-of-focus blur towards the end of the scene before adding titles.
