loading pictures for PhotoStudio

Post by videojim »

I am wondering what way a renomee will take photos for work in PS, or PS2? Can I use a card reader and load into the USB ports? Will jpg's on a disk be acceptable to it? I don't want to go the trouble until I have a clear idea of how to load in.
Thanks.

Yes Jim, you can use a card reader or a usb flash memory stick or CD/DVD to import jpeg images into Photostudio .

Here's the link to the manual.

One thing they never added to the manual is that there are only two brands/models of usb sticks that seem to work. One is the PNY Attache, I forget what the other is.

Okay, I didn't gamble on the reader, I just loaded in via CD. NOW- I have successfully loaded a collage into the scene bin, but am not sure how to load individual pictuers in there. Ideas? I thought maybe creating the slide show would be the way.

Jim,

If you have loaded individual images into Photo Studio 2, just go into the Photo Studio 2 'Edit' screen, Click on (select) any picture and click on 'Create Scene'. This will open a dialog box where you set the length/duration of the scene. Then click 'Ok'. You will see the photo rendered and then when the box closes, you can go to the Scene Bin and you will find your photo.

Hope that helps!

Chet

Okay, thanks Chet, Actually I have the DVD player right here at the editor, and when I went thru it again, I saw that, and did it. NOW the question is how to move an animation to the scene bin? Couldn't see anything in the DVD or anywhere else to figure that one out. Thanks.

Actually, having the DVD player right here at the editor with it on, allows me to do something the DVD says do right then, and THAT's how I learn this stuff. There are too many creative choices to remember, so I do 'em one by one. Only way to learn, for me!

Jim,

In several of the Photo Studio 2 menu/screens you will see a button marked 'Create or Create Scene'. This is the gateway to take your photos/collage/animations from Photo Studio 2 over to/into Smart Edit. Anytime you see this button, highlight/select the photo/collage/animation you want to use and click 'Create or Create Scene' and set the time/length and click ok. Your result will then be created and placed into your Scene Bin.

Chet
