No Video in
Having turned on my Prestige the first time in a month, I have discovered I cannot get any "video in". Updted SM6, but cannot get video from any connection. Tried converting dvd to avi, but it does not read anything. The cables are firmly seated between my dvd recorder and the Prestige. Any suggestions? Thanks, Eddie.

Re: No Video in
Changed input settings from rear to front while making connections, still nothing. I can get audio , but still no video. I know it's something simple.

Re: No Video in
A few weeks ago I had the same problem running VHS into the S4000 using Bogart 2.0c - sound but no picture.
It turned out to be the VHS tape that I was feeding in was faulty. It played fine on monitors and even downloaded on the old Casablanka. A bad tape would show at least something on the older models and operating systems, but with the latest you may get absolutely nothing but sound.
I hope this is the answer.

Re: No Video in
If you have not already done so - I would recommend contacting MSUS Support in Boulder, CO. Their direct Tech Support line is (303) 801-1010.
Have you tried several video input sources: RCA/Phono, S-video/YC and the DV/Firewire?
Hearing you have confirmed audio but not video from either front or rear inputs makes me think one prominent possibility is that you have a video board that is not functioning (this can occur if/when one swaps firewire cables while both the camera and your editor are powered).
But - I leave it to a trained professional to do the true diagnosis for you.

Chet
