I have made CD"s from WAV files. After the CD was made on my PC, they read fine in my Solitaire Plus.

See page 67 of the Smart Edit 7 user manual. I believe there are some places where the translation improperly uses the word text instead of track.

seems like it would take ANY kind of audio file off the CD, don't know why not.

No editing platform in the world will take any kind of audio file off a CD.

It is all a matter of code writing as they don't have smart little midgets in the machines that just figure stuff out on the fly.

I do believe our system is about the most restrictive on this as it will only take MP3 and WAV files and only if you have one of the more recent OS versions at that.

I would personally prefer that they open up the transfer choices of audio to flash drives, memory cards and direct firewire for straight audio transfer more than adding additional format choices.
My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.
