Trying to backup different projects. Looking for easiest way to do this. If possible could you please explain how?

The easiest way to back up any projects you have, would be to go into the final screen and output your completed project to DV tape. There would be no loss of resolution to do it that way. You could re-import it anytime you needed to, such as after doing a destructive install to clear out any gremlins that might have crept into your hard drive. You could even backup the scenes in your scene bins, by placing all the scenes you wanted to save up onto the storyboard either by them self or after your main project. Once you re-import them back into your solitaire and press auto-split, it will split them back into their individual clips, just dont have any transitions between them.
If you have disk transfer, you could place your projects onto a DVD. You would only get about 20 minutes space to work in, as it will not be encoding it to MPEG2, but keep it in raw AVI file, which again would be lossless.
Your solitaire I believe has the capability to have a 2nd hard drive specifically for doing back-ups but you would have to purchase that option.
Another possibility since you have OS6 would be to purchase an external drive. Not all drives are compatible. Some of them can be made compatible if you know how to format the hard drive, but the safest way would be to purchase a Lacie hard drive, from MS or an MS dealer. The Lacies are compatible with our systems but only certain models. I am not sure which model is current. I personally have a lacie 500G HD and it works right out of the box, but it is no longer being sold. Lacie updates their model numbers fairly often.
