Saw this posted on the OZ forum and while i can't think of any reason to take these steps i would hate to be wise after the event.
On the S4000 you can switch off the infrared receiver in the system
settings when you are in Bogart mode.
In the Media Manager mode you have a "parental control" setting where you can switch off the front buttons.
If you disable the "IR receiver" in Bogart mode and disable the front
buttons in Media Manager mode, and if you then switch off the system, it is not possible to start it again. It is dead.

Related caution:
Applying a sledgehammer multiple times to the top or even the sides of the unit or throwing it out the window from the second floor will cause power up problems as well.
Actually, I think the scenarios I listed are currently a more likely than what someone in Australia apparently did, but I still appreciate your sharing the info Charles.
Kinda like those stupidest video things. LOL

My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.

Re: S4000 range warning !!
Used to have a few members from Australia on the UK list but they have been very quite to. With the S4000 range are we going to be an endangered species ?
