DVD player

Post by Alan »

Now with a nice new Sony telly as a monitor for my S4000pro I've bought the remote and release code for playing commercial DVD's. Its a good quality set up, and was my choice instead of buying another player. Now I want to get the remote to learn from the TV remote. I have the instructions, but they are in German. Can anyone do a translation for me, its on the Macro site?

Thanks Alan.

As Lou mentions Babelfish is a good online translator -- I have also found that the Google Online Translator is a good tool, particularly if you are translating a webpage/website - you simply enter the URL and it will translate on the fly an entire website, You will find it here

Thanks Lou and Chet, an excellent idea. However I now have a red face. The instructions are not on the site, I assumed they were. They are an addendum to the Enterprise handbook. I only have a printed copy. I've been on the Macro Enterprise page and I can find no online handbook. Can Volker Hill Help?

Cheers, Alan in the UK on a blazing hot early summers day.

I could not find the English version of that manual.

But here is how it works:

Press and hold OK and 2 on the remote.
Then enter one of the following codes (for Sony TVs) and try if that code worked (Volume, Mute, Power on/off):
0037 0038 0063 0107 0138
0256 0300 0380 0411 0769
0837 0861 0894 0924 1194
1327 1427 1931 1952 1992
1993 1994

You can let the remote "learn" the remote key codes separatly by transfering the appropriate keys from one remote to another but in 99% of the cases the pre-programmed codes should work, I think.
