No one is mad at you Franklin and you certainly have a right to express your opinion and ask questions.

Joel was just doing the same.

MS has dropped the ball badly in this transition to generation three machines and it has cost those of us involved much frustration and them business.

I am seeing some advancement finally and truly hope they are past the worst of it and on the road to fixing many, many of the current problems and shortcomings with the third generation software.
My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.

Hi Franklin

I understand your frustration about our S4000 Pro I am too. I was looking at the Final Cut Pro program this week and looked at some sample video's they look very professional and you can do allot with the program and add on programs. If you are doing commercials or something like that that would be ideal but if you are like me with doing mainly weddings I don't need all that I just want an editing machine that cut the scenes together as quick as I can and add some effects so I spend not to much time on editing.( love Quadcam have that advantage over my competitors they hardly offer multi camera ceremonies at no extra cost). Looked today at some tutorial videos on Youtube and got put off by Final Cut Pro as it is to complicated for me to many choices to many boxes to tick.( have a look at those videos before you make a decision). I think I will stay for now with Macro Systems as the machine first have to make his money back and maybe stop all together in the future don't know see how it goes.

Good luck whatever decision you make.

Ps. The case of degrading footage after DVD burn is not right as we buy expensive cameras ( I have the Sony Z1 as a main camera and two HC7 for the inserts) to give our customers the best picture we can afford to see it being just ordinary after the editing process I hope Macrosystems is doing something about that too in the next upgrade.

Simplicity....simplicity. I attended a FCP class given at our video organization's monthly meeting and watched the instructor "CUT TO THE BEAT" of the music

Let me tell you, we have a much easier editing system that is intuitive w/o hidden menus within menus etc. I can "cut-to-the beat" in a fraction of the time than what was observed in FCP.

I then decided to go to other forums related to other editing systems and there are also problems that have to be addressed as well.

Once the "growing pains' are addressed, which should be shortly, the BOGART SE system will be ready to ROCK N' ROLL.

Jeanton !!..Final Cut Pro as it is to complicated for me to many choices to many boxes to tick !!! AGREE 50%, but when you feel frustated, the other
50% is nothing comparing with a TRUST and STABILITY editor.Yes I know every system have PROBLEMS(nothing is perfect),but when
time is pasing by and you don't see a good response from those problems you loose motivation.

Lou!!!...Thanks for keeping hopeful about the updates that are coming. Guess what??? I will cross my fingers. :|

Thanks...Franklin

Hi Franklin

I suppose I have been using the machine successfully for a while now so my frustration is not as great as yours. Have you finished a project on this machine or are you still using your old one? I know you make up your mind yourself but I thought I sent you to a few video's on the net that put me off that system. I also do agree with you that the handling of problems has taken way to long. If this was a car in production we would have had a much bigger response but it is an editor that not too many people use and complain about so is seems not to matter. The stuff about the global financial crisis I don't believe at all since it had and has nothing to do with the product they sold us way before the collapse.I am still waiting for the chance to convert all my files to whatever format there is out there I guess that would also not happen soon. I suppose just have to be happy I can use the machine and not think about what they had shown last year.

Yes Jeanton !!.I finished many weddings(only one on HD,very SLOW ),on the s-pro, a few
bugs but many limitations (yes Blue-Ray # 1),with the sofware UPDATES.

Any way all my critics are against the promises MS anounces and in our dreams they are late
Tomorrow is another week, let's see how we WAKE UP ;)

Thanks.. Franklin
