DVD Compatibility with Macintosh

Post by Kyle »

Hi Guys -
I have not been on the forum in some time, so please excuse me if this has already been addressed. I have a new Apple MacBook and none of the DVDs that I have made on my Kron will play. They will not play on any of the MacBooks at the local Apple store, either. After the big incompatibility problems several years ago with different brands of DVD players, I hope the problem is not resurfacing.

Kyle,

This was addressed in Arabesk 4.1d. DVDs created with this version should play in a mac I'm told.

Well, that was the case . . .

Somewhere along the line we (or they) appear to have veered off the line again.

I don't know if it's an OS-X update that has caused this but my Mac's don't want to play Cassie DVD's that they did a while ago.

Isn't technology fun

As an update to this - OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard now allows us to play Cassie DVD's on the Mac again.

However it (Snow Leopard) has many (and I mean many) other failings especially with third party software so don't take this as an endorsement of the product.

If you thought this forum was busy have a look at Apples :o
