wedding question
You guys that do weddings all the time. I am editing a wedding and I want to include with the package a hi-lite of their wedding that most couples would show their friends. I don't think they would show their friends a 2 hour production. What should I include in the hi-lite and how long is just right? I haven't done a wedding in probably 15 years and things change. Thanks in advance Bob...

Re: wedding question
Mine typically last 3 and half to 4 minutes. Since it is highlights, obviously, include the big events such as vows, rings, cake cutting, first dance, garter/bouquet toss. I slo-mo nearly all of it and use a lot of filters and effects. Sometimes I'll just use instrumental music and go pretty much chronologically, other times I'll use a song and match the shots to fit the lyrics. Lot of things you can do.

Re: wedding question
Thanks Bob, for the info. I am going to put it together this afternoon. When I did weddings years ago I didn't do this but I have heard of other vids doing it and it sounds good. My wife shot this wedding along with a girl friend. They did pretty good but one shot they didn't get was of the bride and grooms hands with their rings. I think that's a neat touch. My brother and I shot the wedding of our baby brother about 15 years ago and he got some excellent shots. He got close shots of the vows, the placing of the rings on each of their hands, the first kiss, and I think the most touching was when the pastor announced Mr And Mrs. he got a tight close shot that showed their facial expressions. 1 plus is he went to photography school. He worked as a still photog for a few years. The one thing that we did was go around at the reception and interview his and her friends. They still treasure that today. Thanks agin. Bob...
