burner to firewire on the 4k

Is there a way to take a burnt dvd and send it out to firewire? I have tried the disk transfer but I get no audio. Media manager just plays the disk as far as I can tell. Media manage is not the easiest thing for me to figure out.

Bill I use a DVD player and output it by S-video. For what I do the quality is fine as long as the video on the DVD is pretty good. With S-video you have to run AV cables for the Audio. Bob...
