I know not all brands of flash drives are compatible with MS equipment.

Perhaps PNY is one of them.

I know Kingston drives work fine.
My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.

Now I wonder where you get the choice for 24 or 48 bit. I will look for that in PS. But, as I said, they went in just fine off a disc.

When I scan with my Epson scanners you can set it to 48 bit Color quality level along with several other factors in the Expert Mode.

Thing about that is, I'm coming from a raw master, converting to a jpg. Scanner never comes into the sequence.

Ok, but JPEG is just an over all standard compression scheme with lots of settable variables.

Obviously, one of the variables is set wrong for what your MS machine needs.

The most likely being either the bit rate or the Color coding (that does not mean it actually adds color to a black and white shot, but is simply a setting).

You either need to figure out how to set the conversion settings or use another converter that you can configure those settings with.

I don't do a lot of raw photo conversion form existing raw files so someone else needs to peep up on a program that works that is either simple to configure or the default configurations work with the MS units.
