Hi Franklin,

2 hours ago the support asked: When you press "Bogart SE" what exactly happens
Is there a change on the TV-Screen
Bogart menu shortly shows up and then immediately returns to MM
Or is there no reaction at all on the TV-Screen when you press "BogartSE"
Is it Bogart 4.1C or 4.1E
Single monitor is HDMI connected
Which HDMI-Format 1920x1080

When a press Bogart the system try to go to Bogart
Yes the TV goes black like trying to go to Bogart
and then comes M Manager again

HUMMMM.......hate to tell you this. This happened to me a few months back and was not repeatable. I had to do a FULL INSTALL. However, in your case, with weddings on the internal HD, this is an issue.

I assume you are getting a black screen when you attempt to change settings? YES.


OK...........this is telling me that it> MM>BOGART side< is going over to a 2-monitor system because it is producing a blank screen. The switch-over is timing out and 'kicking' back over to the other screen which is MM.

.I have a feeling that the S6000 is set to HDMI for some reason or another display setting-perhaps even VGA. I firmly believe it is in a 2-monitor setup right now.

Solution: Connect analog cables to one of the outputs to try and observe the Bogart side. Check to see via HOLDING down the left mouse, if the oputput changes and then use the keyboard numbers 1 2 3 to try and observe the monitor settings. Chet has this information. step by step on his site. Lastly, don't know if there is a SCART output, not having the S-6000, but I would try analog output (RCA & S-Video) and conect to a source as well.

Lou !!! S-6000 is only HDMI output no RCA or S-VIDEO, yes VGA, let my try to get
a monitor and try your suggestion, is bean a NIGHT MARE for me in the last tonight
trying to sleep with this BIG PROBLEM..

The good thing about this is, that every body have to do BACKUP every time your
mind tells you, remember what happen to Franklin, we been using FCP,(not me),people
how are free land editors, and in 5 years since FCP 6 to 7, they never made a BACKUP
from any project,those are the things I wish ours system some day gets better..

Hopefully, Hans with tech support help can fix the issue, but while waiting have you tried disconnecting all connections, including power for at least an hour?

I would definitely try the VGA monitor possibility that Lou mentioned, but short of finding a monitor have you tried the trackball shortcut for switching monitor modes while the monitor is in black?

As a Renomee + user, looking to upgrade to the S6000, I am feeling good about NOT trading up for now. I see this issue, and I see Bob Foster's problems. Think I might wait out the year to let MSUS de-kink Bogart 4. looks like they need it!

I'm sorry but there is only bad news coming from support.

They aked if HD-Backup was done, but I had to deny.
The reason for the problem is either corrupt project data or corrupt screen settings.
To get final results the unit has to be sent to MS for analysis.
But this doesn't mean your projects could be saved
If you don't want to send the unit to MS the only method to return to normal editing
is a full destructive system installation resulting in losing all projects on internal harddisk.

Now I know there are a few more users who had the same problem.
The problem has been forwarded to the development department for analysis and fixing.

Although this is only bad news for you please post what has happened since our last contact.
