Where am I going wrong? I burn Blu-ray disk put them in my Samsung BD-C5500 and nothing happens it cannot read the disk menu. Which means I cannot do a thing with the disk except use it as a coaster.
This is what I have done. I have two HDD backup drives, drive one with 1440 x 1080i projects and drive two with 1920 x 1080i projects.
TEST NUMBER ONE: I do a new system rebuild with Bogart 4.1g, restore the projects from backup drive one (projects 1440 x 1080i). Then load Arabesk 5.0a and no other software it loaded. I run Arabesk, select Blu-Ray, render a project, burn to a Blu-Ray disk, then try to play it back in my Samsung and it cannot load the disk. It dosen't matter what type of disk BD-R or BD-RE.
TEST NUMBER TWO: I do a new system rebuild with Bogart 4.1g, restore the projects from backup drive two (projects 1920 x 1080i). Then load Arabesk 5.0a and no other software it loaded. I run Arabesk, select Blu-Ray, render a project, burn to a Blu-Ray disk, then play it back in my Samsung the menu runs and the project is OK.
This looks like Arabesk has problems with 1440 x 1080i projects.
TEST NUMBER THREE: I do a new system rebuild with Bogart 4.1g, restore the projects from backup drive two (projects 1920 x 1080i). Then load Arabesk 5.0a and no other software it loaded. I downgrade a 1920 x 1080i project to 1440 x 1080i using clipboard use this project, run Arabesk, select Blu-Ray, render a project, burn to a Blu-Ray disk, then play it back in my Samsung the menu runs and the project is OK.
TEST NUMBER FOUR: I do a new system rebuild with Bogart 4.1g, restore the projects from backup drive one (projects 1440 x 1080i). Then load Arabesk 5.0a and no other software it loaded. I upgrade a 1440 x 1080i project to 1920 x 1080i using clipboard use this project, run Arabesk, select Blu-Ray, render a project, burn to a Blu-Ray disk, then play it back in my Samsung the menu runs and the project is OK.
Why did 1440 in test two work?
When I was using Bogart 3.5 and Arabesk 4, I had no problems playing back Blu-ray disks burn't from either format 1440 or 1920 in my Samsung player.
So the problem is not hardware Arabesk is the most likely suspect. Currently Arabesk appears to be real hit and miss technology.

I assume the menu's are created in the same format as the first project you select to burn?
I cannot see where you can select the format to burn the menu in. Do you have a choice?
All menu's were created using scenes from the projects that I was testing. In test one it was 1440, test two 1920, three I am not sure and four was 1920.
It looks like the menu format might have something to do with the problem.

More than likely it is a menu issue. If you are using multiple chapters in Arabesk 5 then use must use the CONTROL section to add the stamp. PLUS after entering numerous projects the user MUST 'click' on CREATE once more. especially if you are making menu changes. I think that is issue here. If the user manipulates the main Arabesk 5 menu area, then the user must press CREATE time after time.

The problem is in the menu's and the video format of the first project you use must be in 1920 x 1080. I have now sucessfully burn't a Blu-Ray disk with 4 projects total disk space of 95% and the menus and chapters work. The first two projects were in 1920 and the other two were in 1440. Disk verification fails every time, you have to view the full disk to check for errors.
My version of Arabesk is 5.0a haven't seen 5.5
The other misleading thing in 5.0a is the estimated time to render a project my system told me on one project that it was going to take 8578 hours to render thats 357 days.

I must admit that verification always seems to fail - but my BD's still play.

I had a time of 1.2 hours for a 20 minute BD project but that estimate kept climbing

Did check "CREATE" again for the Menu settings after the first burn? ARABESK 5 is somewhat different for HD menus. Curious. Thanks.

I give up!!!!!!!
Just when I thought I was winning, things go wrong again.
The Blu-ray disk with 4 projects using 95% of the disk was a BD-RE disk and I checked the full disk on playback in my Samsung player it all worked fine. What next, burn the same thing onto a BD-R. I had changed nothing in the system since I burn't the sucessfull BD-RE. The BD-R went through the usual burn process everything seem fine. Go to check the disk in my Samsung player and it cannot read the disk because of the menus, the same problem I have been having all along was back.
The projects look fine, looking at them in MM so it is the menus not working again.

It looks like I wait for Arabesk version 5.??????????????????????

Thanks Charles,
My player upgrades are all up to date and I am not prepared to try other opions other than recommended updates. Anyway with the player right up to date it has made no difference.
