iphoto to avio - help

I am trying to transfer Iphoto pictures from my Mac to an Avio. I first tried to burn a Iphoto slide show onto a DVD, play it on a DVD player, and record it onto the Avio. It worked fine until I left the record mode of the Avio and went to Edit. The image I had recorded was there, but immediately the message "An unrecoverable problem occurred. The system will restart." Nothing was saved after the restart. I also tried dumping the slide show and recording an individual picture. Same thing. Everything looks good until I shift to Edit, then the system shuts down. Any ideas?

I would be transferring the photos to a memory card, flash drive or CD as JPEGs and input them using Photo Transfer.

Your Red Box of Death crashes on analog input sound like an individual problem with your OS (as in it may be a corruption that a full, destructive install would fix).
