missing the audio in Arabesk

Post by charles5335 »

I seem to have the dumbest things to inquire about.
I'm trying to burn a project. Before doing this, I moved it to an empty project as a complete scene with all the audio made into the scene. Everything plays fine in the edit menu, but the finished film has no audio.
I'm using the latest version of Arabesk.

Charles, are you saying the actual DVD has no audio when listening to it via a DVD player? If so, the issue may be that a setting on your player needs to be adjusted. When we use compressed audio, this issue sometimes arises for our clients. A change in the menu on the deck fixes it.

If this is not what you are saying, I don't know what to suggest.

Hey Bob,
I noticed the audio missing from the burned dvd first, then went into "film" in Arabesk and found it missing there too. Went back to the edit page and found everything fine there. None of the audio is making it through Arabesk. I'm not compressing the audio or really doing anything different from any of the many weddings I've edited before.
One thing I noticed this morning that was unusual though. I made an audio scene of the entire wedding. Then, I added it back underneath and muted the original. When I tried to create the new audio addition, it never would create. It would start and act like it was creating, then quit, leaving the yellow bar above. So, before I left for the day, I ran NOP against that audio and am about to go up and see if it made any difference.
Thanks for the reply,

Chuck, I think you may have discovered the possible problem. If the audio won't create, there is likely some corrupt audio or possibly overmodulated. From what you indicate you may want to break the entire scene into segments and see if you can isolate just where the problem footage lies. Also, be sure your audio levels are below the red. Good luck!

I'll post this so maybe someone else may find an answer if they experience a similar problem.
The only thing that seemed to solve the problem was my clearing up some memory. I was at around 97% so I deleted some stuff and brought it down to 65% and my audio stayed when going to Arabesk.
Don't know anything else to blame or credit.
Thanks all for the help.
