Pro Show Gold
I have just been checking specs on Pro Show Gold a software for making slide shows. It seems to allow the user to do pans and zooms on a photo in addition to the variety of transitions between slides. If I were going to use this along with my Casablanca Kron Plus, would i need to finish the slide show on CD or DVD first and then load it into my Kron as raw footage. In other words, how could a person use both ?

Use Pro Show to do what you need it to do, burn it to a DVD in your PC, and then play the DVD into your Kron and proceed from there for further editing on your Cassie.

Re: Pro Show Gold
Or if you have Disc Transfer on your Kron, you could use Pro Show Gold in your computer convert to AVI
files and burn it to a DVD-RW and then place that in your Kron and capture it directly via Disc Transfer so you could use it like new footage and edit it into your project just like camcorder footage.
Burning a DVD and then playing it back into the Kron is compressing the video into MPEG-2 which is a noticable loss of quality. Then if you plan to create a DVD of your finished project you will be compressing the photos a second time and the loss really shows up then. Doing it via Disc Transfer does it as AVI files with much much less loss of quality into your Kron. If you have that capability it'll give you better results. You can get about 20 minutes of high quality AVI signals on a DVD to transfer.
Depending on how long your slide show is....this makes for the best transfer quality wise. With DVD-RWs you can use them over and over again to transfer longer projects.

Re: Pro Show Gold
Pro Show Producer may give you the ability to burn AVI files. I thought Pro Show Gold only allows you to burn a DVD in normal or high quality mode. I'll check the manual when I get a chance.

Re: Pro Show Gold
No, Jim is meaning to convert the results to an AVI in the PC first.
You can do this with Vegas and a few others and then use the free DeepBurner to create the data DVD for Disk Transfer compatibility.
Use the Multi-Session setting as the single session setting creates an incompatible data DVD with our systems.
Pro Show Gold cannot create an AVI directly and for that matter Pro Show Producer creates an incompatible AVI file that still has to be converted over by Vegas or a few others prior to burning the data DVD to be compatible.

My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.
