Re: Font Transfer
VISTA? XP? MAC? If VISTA, open your search box and type in FONTS. Highlight the FONT of choice and send to a USB. Do not CUT the font, simply COPY TO.

Re: Font Transfer
Double click My Computer, double click on operating system drive (if you have more than one), double click on the Windows file, double click on the Font file.
Use Copy, NOT Cut.
Then Paste onto your flash drive to transfer them over to your MS machine.

My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.

Re: Font Transfer
Interesting, Lou and Tim -
I have never been able to transfer fonts using VISTA. No problem using XP. Even following Lou's instructions, the fonts come up all right on VISTA, but no options to copy come with them. Hmmm...just another VISTA mystery, I guess.

Re: Font Transfer
Hi, Why not just Google "free .ttf fonts" - you'll see hundreds if not thousands. Download them to your stick and away you go.

Re: Font Transfer
Yes- there are some good sites with free fonts. Two of my favorites are
http://www.dafont.com/ and http://1001freefonts.com/
Be sure of two things however, one - make sure what you are trying/wanting to use is indeed a TTF file (there are other font types and only a True Type Font will load via this newer capability in our Casablanca). Secondly be aware of the licensing restrictions, if any. Many of these fonts specify they are free for your personal use but require a license for business... so if you are using the font in a work for hire project or going on the air (broadcast or Cable) there may be legal ramifications (No, I am not the copyright police but I believe it is better to be aware of the issues to enable you to make your best decision).

Chet
