I've just loaded OS 6.2c . Iam not sure if that is what you call a fresh install or not. I tried to follow steps on forum to do that.
Turned on system inserted iso disc , shut system off , turned back on ,window says installion, then finished. I now see version is 6.2 c but project still remains. I thought when you do a fresh install you lose everything.

What you did was a nondestructive upgrsde.
If you were just moving to the new version and were not suffering other issues that is fine.
To do a full, destructive install to make sure the drive and OS is squeeky clean, ie:Fresh Start you answer NO when asked if you want the system to do an upgrade.
Then it will ask you if you want to perform a full, destructive install and ask you if you are sure.
That requires answering YES twice.

Although, it allowed a successful non-destructive upgrade with the same CD?
I don't see how the CD can be bad for a full, destructive install if it was good for a successful upgrade.
You check in System Settings, lower left hand corner and it is stating it is now 6.2c?
