Renommee Trouble!

I went to project settings and created a new project. I dumped 17 minutes of video into this new project, and split a 1:56 segment out for use in another project. I went to the project settings screen to go to the other project and noticed the new project I had just named said P12 agin. I didn't pay it a lot of mind so I went to the other project and went in to the clipboard to move it and when I went to P12 there was nothing there to move. I went back to project settings and looked thiunking I had went to the wrong project. My project that I had just named was gone. I had no video. Agin I renamed P12, this time I was sure it was P12. I dumped the video agin and went thru the same steps and when I went to the project settings agin it said P12. I went back to the dit screen and the edit screen had my new project name on it I toggled bac to the project settings and it still said P12. Agin I tried to move the clip via Clipboard and my video is agin gone. Has any one else experienced this problem? Thanks Bob......

When was the last time you performed an install of whatever version of Smart Edit you're using? I mean a "destructive" install, one in which the hard drive gets wiped clean and Smart Edit gets a fresh install.

You may be able to perform a non-destructive install where the projects remain.

Its been about 4 months Craig. I was able to get it back up. I shut it down and rebooted it. It seems to be working ok now. I have dumped the video in and grabbed my clip. I have it uploading for u-tube now. I tryed to upload it 3 times and it failed 3 times. I tried the 4th time and came in the house for supper. I hope it uploaded. Every time I jupload a piece to utube it fails at least 1 time, its just a given. Thanks Bob...
