V-scroll

Post by KimSWilliamson »

Hi Everyone,

When using V-scroll in credits, I am trying to use a patterned background rather than black, the titling system allows a patterned background (which I got from effects) with titling as a "page", but if I change to V-Scroll as the type of titling page the whole background goes to black.

I know there is a way to do it in Candy Factory, but just wondered if there is a glitch or a way to keep the patterned background with V-scroll.

Many thanks,

Kim Williamason :)

Hello Kim,

The patterned background works fine with the V-Scroll titles. I just did one to make sure that I remembered it correctly. You may have a previously used Box with a Black fill in it that is showing up.
Make sure by deleting any boxes that may be left over from past editing jobs. Look under "pages" you will find a button that says, "background to all pages" You may have accidentally set this to black and it's doing just that.

If you place your patterned background image in the storyboard first and then add the Titler icon to it...the scrolling titles will appear right over what ever background image or pattern you have selected. Always put the Titler icon in there first by hitting "ADD" then click on the botton that says "Enter/edit text" to actually do the title and select parameters, like font, size, color, outline, and shadow, etc.

Good Luck and let us know how it turns out for you.

Kim,

If you decide to use Candy Factory use large letters with a BLACK BACKGROUND. Then proceed to use CANDY FACTORY. You can also "pre-make" a Candy Factory background first then ADD a Title over the CANDY FACTORY pattern you choice. To execute the aforementioned simply go to the TEXTURE area of CANDY FACTORY. TWIXTOR and CANDY FACTORY are my favorites. Check out my CANDY FACTORY post below.

It was great talking to you yesterday on the phone....good luck!!
