I am using a USB flash drive to transfer photos from a PC to my S-2000 (running Bogart V2.4c) after using Paint Shop to correct the originals. I am using the "Photo-Transfer" function in the "Special" functions to place these photos into the scene bin. Most of the photos transfer correctly. However, about 1/3 of them don't make it to the scene bin. All photos are in the 100K to 3M range and are .jpg files. I have tried transferring just the ones that had failed to transfer originally. These start to appear in the preview window of the "Photo-Transfer" function and immediately disappear. I have Media Manager installed but this appears to be a more complicated procedure (if at all) to transfer photos. As an aside, my long term method has been to use Windows MovieMaker to make a video of the photos, copy it via firewire to a Sony D8 camera and copy the video into whichever video editing computer tha I had. Help is needed and will be appreciated.

Tom,
I know that certain manipulations of .JPEGS in PhotoShop sometime results in what you are observing.
Try this: In your program (if you have the capability) CONVERT to a RAW file and make your adjustments. Then, close out as a .JPG file. This has worked SOMETIMES for me. Good luck.

I use Corel Photo Paint for processing of JPGs.
Whatever I do changing the image there are no
problems when importing to Casa.

I would recommend keeping the file size down. There is little point is transferring high resolution photos only to be used in video. Also ensure that the file ending is jpg and not jpeg. If the latter, simply rename the file with jpg ending before attempting to transfer..

. . . or you could just use Media Manager - it's a lot more forgiving . . .
