I have system 7.0 on my Solitaire and I would like to know about loading system 8.3. Can I load system 8.3 while I am in the middle of a project or wait until I finish the project? No problem in waiting because I should be finish with this project soon. Is there a certain way the software need to be load?
Would I see much difference in my Solitaire with 8.3?
Thanks
Charles

Re: System 7.0 to 8.3
Hello Charles,
Yes - you can do a update/soft-install from Smart Edit 7 to Smart Edit V8 (8.3) -- though it is recommended that you perform a clean installation that wipes the hard-drive clean of not only all video & audio files but also any quirks in the OS.
But you _may_ want to hold off for an installation of Smart Edit 9 -- which as indicated here is scheduled for an NTSC release http://macrosystemus.blogspot.com/
For a list of the new features/functions that came with SE8, check out this page on the MSUS website: http://macrosystem.us/index.php?pr=Expa ... Smartedit8
Hope that helps!
Regards,
Chet
