Exporting 4x3 SD to YouTube and Vimeo

I need to modify a 4x3 project for YouTube, but the scenes and transitions were deleted long ago.

These are the steps I have followed, starting at Filmarchives (Bogart 2):
• Quality high
• MPEG convert checked
• Export scene
In Media Manager>Video Archives:
• DVD Export
• Copy entry to right
• Opt -- “YouTube HD H264” initially, even though 4x3 project was SD
• DVD Start export

Then, I got this error message,
“An read/write error occurred! (can’t guess output container format from filename:/tmp/extresman/1277386964743536_mount/error”

Also tried every other “Opt” but got same or equally frustrating error message.

Can anyone rescue me and suggest a proper way to do this? If you can, you have my undying thanks in advance.

What is your target device to export to? USB? Ethernet? CD, DVD?

Thanks for your fast response, but this did not solve my problem. I still get one of 2 error messages, ". . . can't guess container format . . ." or "(av_interleaved_write_frame failed_"

In Media Manager's Video Archives window, the video will "play" in 16x9 -- with black strips at the ends indicating a Cassie conversion from 4x3 to 16x9 without interpolation. It looks & sounds fine; I just can't figure hw to export it to a USB Thumb drive.

Clicking the green USB symbol in Media Manager Playback shows other files currently in the Thumb drive.
