Ok Ok...so i made it with After Effects...don't take it out on me too hard. This was a fun clip to create. After Effects CS4, decent Dell Duo Core, 4gb of RAM. Around 15 sec, not too many layers (36) 1920x1080, Particle Engine, 3D camera, sprinkled with a few drop shadows and glows here and there. Motion Blur on all layers (thats the big render killer as far as render time goes). Render Time..........1 hour 52 minutes. Talk about watching the grass grow!! Anyway it was something fun to do. have a look let me know what you think. Also...there is only a few weeks left to register for Dallas. Oh yeah...this version has no sound FX yet. I export the video either WMV or QT like this one. Sorry about the low quality on youtube...i was trying to cut down on the upload time by using a smaller file.

Re: Promo for Dallas Conference
I forgot to mention...IF you are planning on using AE alongside of you S series Casablanca (you must be using OS 3.2) when you render out from AE...the QT preset with m4v compression imports SUPER fast right into Bogart! I know that many are waiting on CB Paint but...its always fun to experiment with new programs/apps in the meantime. My two cents.

That was fun - thanks for sharing Seth! I especially liked how the title at the end dissolves into what looks like shards of glass or ice. It is good, I believe, to know that our Casablanca editors can 'mate' more successfully now with other tools/platforms, as more producers use a variety of tools in their productions. I was pleased to hear you share that the Quicktime import of your AE file worked quickly and smoothly!
