German

Post by rone »

Can anyone read German? In this forum when I click on the main subject title for current software versions, the results are in German?

I need to know what is the latest version of Arabesk (USA)?

Thanks in Advance

Guten tag Ron --

I habe kleine Deutsch gesprachen, also night so gut as mit Volker or Hans :D (I had 2 years of German language in high school... just enough to realize I can't speak or read very well). As you discovered the MS AG website has been revamped and the English language component is not yet available (article on my Blog here: http://chetdavis.typepad.com/casablanca ... /10/4.html)

But I can tell you that the current/most recent version of Arabesk 4 in NTSC is V4.9 for Bogart and V4.1g for Smart Edit.

Hope that helps.

Chet

nicht genug
My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.

I downloaded the all software file to my PC hard drive in an effort to get the Arabesk V4.1g for Smart Edit. The file must be too big to load on a C/D. Any suggestions on how to get the Arabesk V4.1g for Smart Edit file without the Bogart stuff (smaller file)?

Chet your German is perfect up to mine. All I learned about speaking German came from Sgt. Shultz on Hogans Hero's.

Ron,

The CD ISO that includes the Arabesk file you mentioned is only 19.3MB, a standard CD can hold a bit more than 700MB.

Either you were using the wrong down link or something else was wrong.

Here is the correct one for the file you were talking about:

Hello,

If you just need Arabesk you don't have to download all the software just get the one for the Arabesk file that you need. As Tim says its only 19.2 MB.

That file you are trying to download is a compressed zipped file that needs to be unzipped after the download. This may be the thing that is wrong. Your computer should be able to unzip it for you if you haven't done so yet.

I may be wrong in assuming that you hadn't tried that, but I hope it is something simple like unzipping the file, and that this helps you.

Re: Arabesk Help

Tim & Jim,

I saved the zip file Tim referenced, unziped, and burnt a C/D image file using Nero. Same process as several times in the past w/o problems.

When I goto load into my Solitaire, I don't see Arabesk 4.1g as a selection choice. I see V1.3f, V2.4a, V3.2d, V4.11

Where am I going wrong?

Just load the v4.11 version and it'll sort out which version the Solitaire wants automatically - i.e. v4.1g.

Ya beat me to it :-) Yes...there are a few softwares that read a different version in Smart Edit 9 than in Bogart SE. "Same church, just a different pew." :-)
