Re: POWER PROBLEM
Welcome to the Casablanca forum. The place to find answers.
On some of the Avios there is a button on the outside which has to make contact with a second button inside the case. If the top has been taken off and re-installed, it is possible that the top hasn't been pushed far enough back into place, so that the outside button doesn't reach the inner switch that it needs to hit to turn the unit on. This can be checked by losening the screws that hold the top to the lower half and forcing the top of the case closer so that the button can reach its target area inside. Or if you are at ease with taking the top off, find the inner button and push it and see if it starts without the top on. I've had to do this myself a couple of times.
It is also possible that the inner switch has gone bad and is not allowing the juice to get through when it's pressed.
Good luck, and let us know what you find.
