cannot get to the screen I need
I have my Renommee in double screen mode, and hooked up the screens and started the unit. It goes to the title in both screens and will go no further. Have unplugged and re-plugged twice, no change. Both times it eventually came up with the white screen with the "Renommee" in both screens and does nothing else. Holding in the power button for up to 15 seconds to try to get it to turn off did nothing. Ideas?

Do you have any other hard drives to see if the same situation occurs? If not, try removing the hard drive (after shutting down the Reno) take the hard drive cover off and remove and re-install both ends of the ribbon cable attaching the HD to the circuit board. That action just revived a locked HD for me that I thought that the sled had died.

Hello Bob,
Not sure if I totally understand -- was your system on dual-monitor mode from a previous set-up and then you connected your 2 monitors?
I would recommend connecting a single video monitor (to either composite/RCA-Phono or S-video) and then restarting your system - connect the VGA port to your VGA monitor.
If you get a signal on the video monitor and nothing on your VGA monitor it is likely still in single monitor mode -- but if all you get is the Renommee logo it sounds like a bad HDD or a other hardware issue. Power down and reinsert the HDD, or try a different HDD. Then power back up and see what you get. If nothing still, power down - insert Smart Edit OS CD and see if you are able to boot-up (will likely show only on the single video monitor).
Hope that gets it going...
Regards,
Chet
