Titles increase in size and bunch up

Asking for a friend who has just got a S3000 and not a lot of info from him so far but presuming Bogart 4.1g and Arabesk 5

When he does titles the text increases in size and bunches up,any ideas on scant info so far?

I think 'we' need a bit more info . . .

In the mean time I'd go to a new project, add 10 seconds of black to the Story Board and then ADD title before going to Enter/Edit Text, then using a normal effect (like in out fading pages) and a standard font like David - does it still do the same now ?

This sounds like he is using an effect from one of the title effects packages. I don't own any of them but it seems to match some of what I see when I look at frame captures on the MacroSystem website.
