Problem with Clipboard

Post by Chinodavis »

Hello,
I have a Casablanca Prestige running version 3.6d. I have always used the clipboard to transfer scenes and samples from one project to another. Just recently it will not allow me to do this. I add the scene or sample to the clipboard then select a different project to add them to. The scenes or samples have an asterisk next to them with an error message stating "These scene settings are not compatible with project settings". All the scenes and samples are the proper file formats and file sizes, and I have previously clipboarded them in almost every video I edit. Can anyone help? Thanks!

We don't get many error messages from a Casablanca but when we do they are normally fairly specific.

I'd suggest that you triple check your Project Settings and make sure they match especially "if" there's any audio format choice- trying to think that far back now - I'm sure the '*' are there for a reason . . .

If that all seems ok can you go into another project and produce 10 seconds of colour (color) bars and see if you can bring that back into your original project.

Thanks for the help. I have clipboarded these exact scenes and samples between projects many times. However, the last time I turned on my Prestige the problem had gone away and everything was back to normal. Hopefully it fixed itself.
