Changing from 2 monitors to 1

Post by satilla751 »

We record our high school games Friday nights ona Kron for playback on local cable access through the week. Earlier this year we added an additional monitor. Last night was our first game of the year. I get at the stadium early to be sure everything works. Well, I forgot to change from 2 monitors to one before I left the office. I crank up the Kron and all I get is color bars. Panic set in. I called a friend and asked if there was a way to change back to one without a second monitor. He said he didn't think so and suggested I borrow the monitor that is used for the scoreboard and rest my unit. I did and everything turned out well. I now have a big note on the VGA reminding me to change the configuration.

Is there anyway of doing this outside of hooking up the second monitor?

Thanks.

I believe inserting a SM OS card and powering up, then answering No to all questions will cause the unit to power cycle back up in the one monitor default mode.
My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.

Thanks. I'll just have to remember to carry the card.

Gaffers Tape a card to the bottom of the unit. It does not even have to be the current OS.
